In Its panoramic story sweep through five countries, and three con tinent, the magnitude of Its 131 sets, the picturesqueness of its back grounds, the gigantic scale on which It was produced and the vast num ber of talented players In Its cast, 'Anthony Adverse' Is said by those who have seen the preview to be the most pretentious piece of entertain ment In Hollywood. The novel, which took Hervey Allen four years to write, was finally whipped Into Its finished screen form after more than two years of arduous labor on the part of nearly 3000 tech nicians, in addition to more than 2500 players who portray the many char acters seen in the film. In dynamic action, Intense drama, glamorous romance and thrilling ad venture, probably no story was ever better fitted for screen material. (AP) With cheers of high school students ringing In his ears, William D. Plumb, 75. believed to have been the last survivor or the crew of the U. S. 8. Searchers reported 250 bodies had been recovered. Eighty Injured per sona were taken to hospitals. Some of the bodies were dug from 20 feet of muck residue left by a wall of water which swept down yes terday from the burstcd dam of a copper mine reservoir. The torrent, carrying a poisonous solution from the mine operations, virtually wiped out this village and four others. School officials said there were at ieast 250 deaths among children alone.
