Not only did the city's population turn out en masse to participate In the various events on the day-long program but thousands from all other part of the county came to town to Join in the observance of the armis tice that brought pence to the world on November 11, 1018. "The celebration was such an out standing success that we ven came out ahead financially' said Caes Wy more, prominent Legionnaire and chairman of the general committee In charge of the entire program. Dnll Proves Hit. There were close to 1000 persons at the ball and floor show held last night In the Oriental gardens as the climax to the big celebration. The vast crowd was so enthralled by the peppy and tuneful dance music pro Tided by the "Streets of Paris" swing orchestra and so thoroughly enter tained by the program or top-ranking lilght club features that practically everyone remained until the final number was played at 3 o'clock this morning. 'The Legion Dugout waa the hot teat spot In Medford yesterday, commented Mr. Wymore. "Practically everyone In Medford and thousands from other county communities vis ited the Dugout sometime during the day. We put on two floor shows, served a bounteous free lunch for all veterans and everyone had a thor oughly good time. It was a grand aucoese all the way through." The Med ford -Ashland high school football game. Included on the Le-1 glon program, drew a crowd of 3700, by far the largest throng of the year. Drum Major Scores. The Armistice Day parade was one of the largest and most colorful ever held here and attracted one of the greatest throngs of spectators on rec ord. Comment waa still being heard to day of the contributions made to the parade by the .senior and Junior high school musical organ .cations, their gala uniforms of vivid colors adding an exceptionally bright touch to the procession. Miss Lucille Wymore, high school senior and daughter of Case and Mr. Wymore, was the sub ject of conversation for her capable leadership aa drum -ma tor ot the girls' fife, bugle and drum corps, both In the parade and on the foot ball field between halves of the foot ball game. So large waa the throng that came to Medford that every night spot In and near town did a thriving busi ness.
