The number of persons Injured and the total accidents reported showed an even higher percentage the past month, the secretary of state announced today. Injuries were 703 compared' to 468, and accidents were 3.153 compared to 1.900. Thirteen of the September fatal ities were pedestrians. (AP) Because some farmers have "reltglous and moral" scruples against signing an application for farm benefit pay ments, AAA officials said today that special provision! had been made to enable them to Qualify for a share of the 1470,000.000 to be distributed this year. Secretary Wallace recently approved a special order for these payments. Under It, the county AAA committees may certify payment applications without signature by typing tna name of the farmer and adding "unsigned religious scruples."
