(API The crew of the freighter Obtoan. wedged on the beach near Seal Rocks was removed by coast guard surf boats today while hundreds of spec tators watched the rescue. Only licensed officers and two cooks were left on the stricken vessel, pinioned amidships by a Jagged rock. The powerful coast guard boat ap proached the Ohloan through heavy seas to remove the sailors and their baggage. George E. Wilcox, chief engineer of the freighter, was suffering severe ly from rhoumatlsm and was taken to a hospital. Salvage operations were to start In attempta to save the vessel's 1,500-ton cargo before the craft Is pounded to pieces by heavy waves.
