The powerful coast guard boat ap
proached the Ohloan through heavy
seas to remove the sailors and their
baggage.
George E. Wilcox, chief engineer
of the freighter, was suffering severe
ly from rhoumatlsm and was taken
to a hospital.
Salvage operations were to start In
attempta to save the vessel's 1,500-ton
cargo before the craft Is pounded to
pieces by heavy waves.
