The August Increase brought the year's total deatha to 169 aa com pared to 163 for the first 8 months of 1935. Other figures dealing with traffic casualties Increased accordingly. Per sons Injured last month stood at 763 for the year'a total of 4348. Acci dents reported were 3068 for an eight month's total of 19.160 In Oregon. Thirteen of the fatalities were pe destrians, while eight were the re sult of non-colllslon accidents. Multnomah county led with seven deaths. Other fataiatles were report ed from Marlon and Polk with three ach: Clackamas, Lincoln and Yam- fill, two each; and one each from Baker, Benton, Columbia, Coos. Curry, Douclfls. Harney.
