A gay and gusty story of hale and lusty days, the film shows the blonde star as the "Frisco Doll," shipping out of San Francisco sboard McLag- len's boat and making her way to Alaska, where tall tales of newly found riches bring visions of wealth and "suckers." There she skips through a series of exciting and amusing compllcatlona before she decides to take the tough sea cap tain for better or worse. MILWAUK1E JAILS MILWAUKEE, Wis., March 21 (UP) Heywood Broun, columntst and president of the American Newspaper guild, and five others were put Into Jail today after a scuffle with police In front of the Wisconsin News, where editorial workers have. been on strike five weeks. Broun was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. Two strikers and three sympathizers were arrested on the first charge. After guild and labor union mem bers had raised $345 to ball out five of those arrested, Broun fished In hit baggy trousers end produced 9135 bond for his own release. Nlchola said. "I decided to hold it up pending further devel opments that may enable us to ob tain our objective of keeping the present number of CCC camps with out calling a caucus." Under the petition Chairman Tay lor (D, Colo.) of the cattcus would have been compelled to order the meeting Tuesday. Driving south toward this city Hutu had Just reached the turn near where Court street Intersects the Pacific highway at the north city limits, when two boys on bicy cles rode In front of him, Hart told police. Swinging hard In an effort to miss the two boys, he shot across the highway to the left, narrowly missed a concrete Irrigation ditch pylon, took off over the edge of the ditch and landed smnck in about a foot of water at tha bottom of the canal. The drop was one of about eight feet, and the Impact broke two of the wheels sheer awsy from tha spokes, and scattered mud In a wide arc. Hare was not hurt.
