Prlb- berrow, former resident of this city, Is visiting Mr. and Mrs Lee Hunter for a few days. He Is now enrolled In the school of surgery at the United States naval hospital at San Diego. Prlbberrow lived In Medford for sev eral years and was enrolled in the headquarters detachment of the CCC : for 17 months prior to his departure last November. He served here un der Capt. HJalmar T. Gentle. Specialist for CCC H. W. Andrew sen, specialist in vocational educa tion, has been assigned to the Med ford OOC district by the 9th corps area, San Francisco. He reported for duty htre yesterday and, left imme diately to attend a zone educational conference at Camp Klamath. He will visit each of the district camps and help In the development of educa tional programs, being especially In terested In the promotion of hand craft and ertcraft work. He will also assist the technical staffs in prepar ing instruction progmina. Jack Holt, popular star of adven ture films will he seen In. "Dangerous Waters," playing at the Rialto theatre tomorrow and Thursday. The story presents the red blooded triumphs of a brawny man of the sea. In many ways It parallels the recent burning of the Morro Castle, but with a far happier fate for the pnsspniiers, and a very different performance by the crew. According to advance reports, fast tempo and heart lifting action pre dominate from the first scene to the last, with excitement heightened by breath -catching happenings. L BEFORE COUNCIL1 ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 18. (AP Ethiopian War Minister Ras Mulu- gheta telegraphed to the government today a denial of Italian claims of a victory south of Makale on the north ern front. Raa Mulugheta said there were sev eral patrol skirmishes last week In which the Italians lost "heavily" and the Ethiopians suffered 31 killed and 7ft wounded. A government communique, de scribing the Italian claims of a vic tory south of Makale, and an advance of 16 miles to Amba Aradam as ab surd and Impossible, probably will be Issued tomorrow, authoritative sources said. Marlus Brophll, Irish Red Cross representative who returned recently from the north, was summoned to the palace where he signed a state ment, to be published soon, designed to show the Italian claims unreason able.
