Discharged from Hospital Floyd Stout, COC enrollee stationed at Camp Wlmer, was diacharged from Sacred Heart hospital today, fully re covered from a recent operation for the removal of his appendix. To Have Vacation Lieut. Lin Shields, who la stationed at the South Umpqua Falle CCC camp, has been granted a leave of absence of 14 days, effective October 7. He was in charge of the construction of Camp Silver Lake. ... Kabele to Longvlew The Rev. George P. Kabele left last evening for Longvlow. Wash., where he will attend the Joint meeting of the two conferences of the Pacific Synod of the United Lutheran church of Amer ica. Tuesday and Wednesday. He will return to Medford Thursday. Air Board Coming The state board of aeronautics will come to Medford within the next fortnight to confer with the city council's committee on aviation, aooordlng to word received by Fred Heath, Jr., chairman of the committee. Sanders of Portland and Mrs. J. C. Royse of Seattle left this morning for their homes, after spending seme time here visiting friends and rela Taylor to Motor Meet L. 0. Taylor of the Pierce-Allen Motor Co. left this afternoon lur Portland to .attend the Plymouth dealers meeting which Is being held there tomorrow. Mr. Taylor was accompanied north by several members of the local sales staff. Assurance that the 1936 Dodge and Plymouth autos would be shown eoon in Medford was given by Taylor before he left. Expresses Appreciation J. Vern Shangle has received a letter of ap preciation for pictures taken at Cra ter Lake, from a Japanese student. Mltsuru Murakami, who whs here with the recent delegation of stu dents from his country. The student stated that the lake was one of the most beautiful sights that he has ever seen. A Krosrhels Visit Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Kroschel, formerly of Medford but now making their home In San Diego, were brief Medford visitors today, while enroute to Portland for a few days. While here, Mr. Krosohel stated that during the fair at San Diego, an Oregon day was held. On that day, 26 boxes of Hood River apples were on display, as was a sack of almonds from Salem, but no Medford pears were on hand. Mr. Kroschel thinks something should be done about this.
