Lee Hammerly and wife visited their mother, Mrs. L. E. Hammerly, at Pine Tree camp Sunday. Mrs. Hammerly Is assistant In the camp atore. Mrs, Nellie Cotton and little daughter, Gcraldlne, visited her father, a. A. Bnker, at Pine Tree camp Sunday. Mrs. Cotton Is stay ing In Ashlond, where she la taking tonic treatments preparatory for a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Lemery and children t of Baker, Oregon, were overnight guests at Pine Tree camp recently. They were here to look at the Verlln Tule ranch which they had thought of purchaalns. They decided to look at other property In southern Ore gon. E. N. Butler of Ashlsnd wss over Sunday to look after his boat at Tracy boat landing. Miss Marjorle Davla accompanied Mia. Bessie Davis to Medford Tuea day on a shopping tour. Miss Patricia Polndexter, who has been a guest In the Denver Davla home, returned to Medford Tues day. After a four days' visit with her sister, Mrs. Mel Williams at Grants Pass. Mlsa Arlene Inmann returned to her home here Tuesday. She also vlsltrd the Homer arable and Martin Williams families. Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Robley of EsU eada, Oregon, are vacationing In southern Oregon and while seeing the lakes and visiting relatlvea and frlenda In Ashland, Medford and here, are stopping at the Valandra camp In Central Point. Mr. Robley la ft division manager for the Port land Electric Co. Mrs. Robley Is a sister of Clarence Loffteea and haa often visited here. 1 rived last week for a visit at their homes. He haa been visiting In Ten- be there this week. The music by Mac's Black Cats of Medford was very good. These dances are given under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce, The California Oregon Rabbit Breeders' association will meet in the Llthta park Sunday. Visitors are welcome. There will be a picnic dinner, followed by a meeting. Grandma Extea Is seriously 111 at her home, having suffered a stroke nesRee. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward of paralysis. Her son. Charles, and Ban Diego are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Edwards. Fred Calkins, who Is visiting at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Harry Cogle, haa been suffering from an Infected thumb. Weather on Williams creek went to two extremes recently. The hot test day of the year registered 107 degrees and two nights later a light frost hit the higher portions of the valley. Harold Plrce, electrical staff ser geant of the coast artillery at Fort Monroe, with his bride Is visiting friends In Oregon. Harold grew up on Williams creek and has many friends who Join In wishing him a happy life. He Is on a three months furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Falrweather and two children of Rio Vista, Cal., are spending a two weeks vacation at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Roberts. i Mrs. Addle Pierce of Grants Pass visited her sister, Mrs. Taylor Harley. Friday. Mrs. Olen Hunter Is visiting for a few weeks at St. Paul. Minn., her childhood home. She went back to be present at the wedding of her girlhood chum. Mrs. Oeorge Cockman entertained the Provolt unit of the Jimmle Allen Flying Cadets at a pnrty Saturday for her son, Lieutenant Oeorge E. Cockman's ninth birthday and Cadet Floyd Lewman'a tenth birthday. Games occupied the afternoon. A birthday cake was enjoyed. his wife of Smith River, are with her. The ctty council is busy these days, holding meetings to find out about the cost of a sewer system for Talent. Mrs. Lilly Burnett and Mrs. E. Maxon were calling on friends In Phoenix Friday.
