They reported that fair trade acts and taxes were discussed. Sllnger Lands Fisli Dick Slinger of the Medford postoffice reports that lie landed a nice four-pound steel head Wednesday afternoon ' while fishing in Rogue river at H:gh Banks. He observed that Chinook salmon have seased striking, probably be cause of the nearness of the spawn ing season, but that steelhead are taking the lure more readily than before. New Teller Ray Knips of Grants Pass has accepted a position as first teller at the Medford National bank. He was formerly connected with the First National Bank of Southern Ore gon at Grants Pass. All were under 5 and one half acres In extent, one belna that large last Sunday on Steamboat mountain. Carberry creek. All the fires were extinguished quickly by forest service and CCC crews.
