(AP) Her sanity attested by two alienists. Miss Marian Shortrldge, 21-year-old domestic, was held at police head quarters today as a material witness in her charge that she was bound and beaten by her employer, Mrs. Ml lien F. Knceland. In the assault and battery com plaint Miss Shortrldge signed she charged that Mrs. Kneeland tied her with a rope and tried to make her confess to theft of $20. Mrs. Free- land was arraigned yesterday and hearing set for August 8. A sanity complaint against the girl was signed yesterday by her mother. Mrs. Elizabeth Shortrldge.
