The maid of honor waa Miss Haeel Downa;-beat man, Robert Maeaer, bridesmaids, Viva Davis end Elva MoKinnis, and the flower-girls were little Mabel Ellen Babcock and Marcla Lucille Babcock. Sunshine Sewing club met last week at the home of Mrs. B. A. Mr. Pederson was born In Nor way, March 11, 1848, and came to the United State tn 1871, living In vari oua cities, where he followed the trade of painting, finally aetttlng In Decora h, Iowa, where he resided for 85 years. Mr. Pederson wu united In mar. xlajre to Olava Norgawd, November 36, 188, near Decorah, and to this union two children were born. He la aur vlved by his widow, Olava; son, Nor man Pederson. of Saskatchewan, Can ada, and daughter. Mrs. Frank Harris, of BosAeman, Manitoba. Canada. Deceased was a man of fine up right character, and an ardent mem ber of the English Lutheran church. He with hts wife had made Medford their home for the past eight years. His son, Norman, la on bis way to Medford from Canada to be here for the aervlcea and to be with his mother. Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home, Friday at 2:30 p. m., Rev. George Kabele of the English Lutheran church officiat ing. Interment will take place In the Medford I. O. O. F. cemetery. IN AID OF SALLEE! Another affidavit, signed by I. C. Dawson of this city, waa filed late yesterday, In the case of Melvln Franklin Bailee, former SERA worker. now serving seven and one-half years in state prison for conviction of a statutory offense against a seven- year-old Central Point girl. I Dawson alleges in his affidavit, i that while the complanlng witness was on the stand, he noted that he ! saw one of the state's witnesses, nod- I ding "yes" and "no" answers to the j girl. Dawson further alleges his wife j called his attention to the asserted ! ignallng. j The district attorney's office satd j this morning, previous defense affl i davits claimed the mother was afg Baling the tot, while testifying. A motion for setting aside the sentence, and for a new trial is ached- I uled to be heard by Judge Norton Friday morning. A number of affidavits, including those by Deputy District Attorney Oeorge W. Neilson and County Jailer Harry Ingting. in opposition to de fense contentions, have been filed. INT- ERASURE IS SOUGHT A motion to strike from the flies and records of the circuit court, the divorce suit of Howard L. John ion 1 against Rosetta Frances Johnson, waa ! filed today. The motion avers the "complaint contains unncccerjwiry foul, filthy, ! obscene and disgusting allegations." ' that should "not be permitted to en- j cumber the records.' and the grounds . they were introduced, "for the pur- j pose of disgracing and humiliating the defendant." The motion to strike was filed by Attorney H. B. Duncan. WELCH RESTRAINED IN OF A restraining order directed against Mathias Sherman (Dutch) Welch, pro hibiting him from removmg 2000 on deposit in the Postal Savings depart ment of the Ashland postoffice. and claimed by his sister, Mrs. Ada Poel nitz, has been Issued in circuit court. The court further orders that a copy of the restraining order be served up on the Ashland postmaster. Welch Is made a defendant In a suit fited by the plaintiff last week In which she alleges Welch deposited the money In his own name, and seeks its return. Westbound U. P.
