National park officials announced today that the stretch of highway between Park headquarters and the rim of Crater lake, which for the past week has been open to one way traffic, has been entirely cleared of snow, allowing two-way travel to the lodge. Snow is still more than five feet deep in the park and motorists who take advantage of the opporunUy. may drive through canyons of the white drifts. Many are visiting the lake, officials reported, attracted by the unusually beautiful snow scene ry. The lake may be reached easily both from the Klamath Falls side and from thts city. The roads to Diamond lake are aUo open, allowing travellers to reach this popular fishing resort from Union creek or from The Da lies -California highway. RITES HELD TODAY Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Niedermeyer were conducted thts afternoon, with Interment at the Medford Memorial mausoleum. Mrs, Niedermeyer died at a local hospital Monday. Honorary pall -bearers were J. W. Godward, W. W. Hartley. William Bohnert. J. W. Wakefield. C. U. Hoover and I. A. Dew. Due to misinformation, some of the dates published In the obituary of Mrs. Niedermeyer in th is paper yesterday were Incorrect. She was born In Borgholzhausen. Germany. December 25. 1863, and came to this country, settling in Nebraska In 1886. , The family resided in Nebraska until 1900. at which time they came to Medford, living In this city for two years before moving to their farm near Jacksonville In 1902.
