It ha been my pleasure to spend a couple of days at two of the most beautiful and well kept homes In the valley, lately. One was at the Clyde Barnum home, where I was an all day guest about ten day aio. There I found one ot the finest kept grounds about the home of any place in the valley. Not only a well kept and valuable orchard, but ornamental trees blooming and beautiful ehruba about the yard and ground. The other wa the A. R. Phippa home where I waa a dinner guest on Mother Day. There I aaw aome of the finest stock I have seen anywhere on the farm. The Phlppsee believe It takes no more to feed a good animal than a poor one and that the returns Schilling Yoivder 'A made with Cream Tartar are much more. The farm of several hundred acres was in abundant wheat and corn crops. If we would only take more pride In our old farm places and secure the best in beauty, and in equipment and in our stock as well as eccd for tne crops the attraction to the farms would soon draw new interest to our valley and greater prosperity to the owner.
