(AP) Death ha ended the long scientific career of Dr. Edwin Brant Frost, who reach ed his greatest eminence as an as tronomer after he had lost his eye sight. He was 68 years old. Peritonitis was said by physicians to have been the cause of his death, which occurred at 4 :55 p. m. yester day at the Billings Memorial hos pital, where the famous astronomer 'underwent sn operation last May 13 for the removal of gall stones. His wife, who assisted him In his scien tific work nfter he went blind 16 years ago. and other members of his family, were with him when the end enme. Frenrh Mayor Honors Homier. FORT WAYNE, tnd. A "Mother's day" picnic wa en Joyed Sunday at the Wyant hall and park. A large crowd of the mothers were seated at a table by themselves with special service. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Tyrrell and Mrs. Frank Fallow spent Saturday with their parents, Mr .and Mrs. J. H. Tyr rell of the Jacksonville highway. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Farlow were host and hostess Sunday to their children, Mrs. Eva Nichols and chil dren and Mr. and Mrs. Gold Zundell, also Mrs. Carlyle Natwlck of Eagle Point. They had a picnic dinner on the banks of Little Butte creek. Mrs. C. E. Wilkinson returned home Sunday from a visit with her sister at Sawyer Bar. Afternoon session was called to order by Chairman Dorothy Stew ard and given over to singing, led by Coilsta Johnson. After the usual business matters were dispensed with Mrs. Mack again presided, giving an etiquette lesson on table service and setting and rules for hostess and guests. Afternoon tea sandwiches and hot spiced grape Juice were demon strated and enjoyed by the ladles. The Inst meeting of the year was held today at the Ornnge hall with the usual pot luck dinner at noon. The Olrl Scout patrol, led by their captain.
