Trans-Pacific passenger traffic is at top levels. General trade and industry continued steady at about 5 to 10 per cent over lut year. Re lief activities tapered off seasonally. (By the Aoctateit Press) The nation's business. Influenced last week by both spring and sum mer trade cycles, displayed an under tone of strength. Although some section, notably the east, reported retarding Influ ences which hampered the growth of a distinct trend in either direction, a number of analyses agreed that general business and Industry moved forward. Flying the flag of "prosperity peaks," the automobile Industry pro duced 110,700 units last week, the highest week production since Au gust of 1020. -.1 The trend of motor output has been upward for many months, and Crum's said production estimates for May give Indication of little or no decline from April.
