Methodist Church Boys, Girls Club Concludes Study The boys and girls' ''World Club" of the Southern Methodist church, under supervision of Mrs. Frank Roberta, completed their quarter's study of Japanese children with a program and the presentation of the Japanese international good-will flag of the "Kol-Noborl." a huge highly colored carp fish, at the church Thursday evening. Some thirty-five children were present as were also a grodly number of adults. The candle lighting service and reception of new members was very Impressive. Their large, beautiful, friendly doll, with her lovely ward robe, was on exhibit before starting on her long voyage to Japan next Monday. With a candy pulling and social time In the basement of the church the club adjourned, feeling that they had completed a good quarter's work with a friendliest attitude and a better understanding towards world children, which may go far in solv ing the world peace problem. Waters Opening Medford Veterinary Hosp. Dr. J. W. Waters, who recently pur chased the late Dr. Stone's veterinary equipment, has opened the Medford Veterinary hospital at 335 North Riv erside, where the lavast methods in the treatment of Injured and diseased animals will be used and advised. Dr. Waters says the slogan of the hos pital will be: "Where your pet will receive kind treatment and efficient attention." Dr. Waters, who Is graduate of the Kansas City Veterinary college and who also took work In other eastern universities in small animal practice, has worked in Oregon a part of the time during the past four years and until recently was with the U. S. de partment of agriculture In the In spection of tuberculin cattle In Cali fornia. He has had extensive experl- encn during the past 15 years In large j and small animal practice, partleu- j larly In the care and treatment of i small animals and In dairy practice in 1 some of the large cities. This new veterinary hospital, which Dr. Waters says will have the finest equipment In southern Oregon, will have a microscopic room, a laboratory, drug and surgery room, a cat ward and a dog ward. Arrangements are being made for the construction of airy, sunny ken nels at the city limit to be used tn connection with the hospital.
