In every way possible, needy children of veterans and to improve conril- tlona for all children by a three phase progrsm of education, legis lation and emergency relief. Our first consideration la. as It has al ways been, the children of the vet erans. To take care of these chil dren in the most Intelligent man ner It Is advisable to cooperate wtth all community organizations and to tap all local resources. If these local facilities do not meet the needa It la apparent that some form of county or state aid must be solicited. At the present time many states also have federal funds which are available for unemployed vaterana families. Our second con sideration la the children of the community and of the state. To gether with other welfare groups we folks are aeeking to improve conditions for all children and ralsee health standards by advocating the keeping of public health records. Our third consideration la to carry on this work for veteuns' children and all children In the most Intel ligent manner possible. Our fourth consideration is to further promote 1 the efficient service to our children I by the Legion and Auxiliary child welfare groupa always working as a ' coordinated committee. Our filth I consideration la to recognlite the i extent of our problem." The annual Easter Monday ball will be held Monday evening, April 33 at the Oriental Gardens. Frederics Waves $5.00 Shampoo and Finger Wave $1.00 Adrienne's Salon of Beauty Phone 577 THE Medford "Come to Church" program which is made possible by the united co operation of all twenty-two religious or ganizations in the city has as its object the stimulation of interest both inside and out the church, increasing regular church attendance and a revival of spiritual interest among the peo ple of this community. Association with right living, straight think ing Christian men and women, through regular church attendance, is doing much to restore con fidence and relieves worries caused by the trouble, some times through which we have been passing. The result of a recent Medford religious sur vey is most gratifying. Membership rolls reveal that approximately half the population is affiliat ed with some Medford religious organization, the total number being 5.432. This figure is slightly higher than the average church membership throughout the nation according to the last survey made in 1930. In this space each Sunday during the coming weeks will be published an article featuring one of the Medford religious organizations. The arti cle, furnished by the pastor, will include a brief historical sketch of the church and a review of the organizations within the church, citing the ' activities of the various groups and indicating the benefits to be derived by affiliation. The series will contain pictures of approxi mately one hundred fifty active church workers heads of the different groups in the various Med ford churches with comments on the splendid service each is rendering in caring for the spirit ual welfare of the members. The generous whole hearted cooperation of the representative business and professional people whose names appear on this page has made pos-. sible the space to be used in this entire series and the outs to be published each week, It is certain that each article will be of great interest and It is hoped that the series will .be extremely beneficial in stimulating more regular church attendance and reviving spiritual interest so that Medford may continue to be known as an outstanding community in its participation in religious activities, .
