Brault, oficlals of Southern Ore gon Gas corporation, left by auto this morning tor Portland, on busi ness. They are expected to return the latter part of the week. Mother Passes Away O. T. Jackson of 539 West Tenth street, received the cad news today of his mother's death, at Miles City, Mont. Mrs. Jackson would have been 09 years old Sep tember 12. Mr. Jackson will be un able to attend her funeral, owing to his wife's illness of the past three years. Well Drilling Delayed Drilling of a proposed 700-foot well at Lava Beds national monument, California, has been held up due to delay in legis lation of funda in Washington, D. C. acocrdlng to officials of Crater Lake national park. Funds for drilling the well will be limited to $1200. Super intendent David H. Canfleld and Chief Ranger J. Carlisle Crouch vis ited the Lava Beds the first of the week, in company of Ranger D. C. Fisher of Klamath Falls. Auxiliary Rummage Sale The American Legion Auxiliary will give a rummage sale in the building for merly oocupied by the Campbell Clothing company, Friday and Satur day, March 22 and 23, according to announcement, and goods will be re ceived at the store from 8:30 a. m. until noon on Friday. The sale will tart at 1 o'clock Friday, close at 5 :30 that afternoon, reopen Saturday at :S0 and close finally Saturday even ing at 0:30. Here Monday L. J.
