After the ceremony a wedding breakfast will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Littrell, uncle and aunt of Ml us Littrell. They will leave immediately fol lowing the wedding for San Pran Cisco, returning after ten days to make their home In Medford. Garden Club In Favor Planting Local Parkings Medford Garden club held Its reg ular monthly meeting Thursday eve ning at which time a number of Important business matters were dla cussed. 1 O. J. Gould, a member of the city planning commission, presented a planting ordinance for parkings which will be presented to the city council In the near future, and ask ed the club to discuss It. The club Is planning tor the usual plant sale, flower shows and plant ing projects of a civic nature. - Club Reclaiming Courthouse Rooms The Home Economics club of Jack sonville Grange met at the home of Mrs. Edna Jones In Jacksonville Wed nesday Jifternoon. Mrs. Emma Conger, who Is leading the group this year, explained the projects to the members who had missed her first outline. Plana are underway to go ahead reclaiming other rooms of the old courthouse In Jacksonville and erect ing a stage with curtains In the audi torium. The hall la now most attrac tive with a lovely kitchen and dining room newly decorated. At the next meeting of the club, each woman la asked to bring plants to exchange with other members as she wishes. This is an annual affair greatly appreciated by all who attend. Mrs. McNnry conducted the devo tional period, with the topic, "In the Secret of His Presence," supplement ed with the hymns "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Jesus Calls Us." Mrs. Wiley presided ot the business session. Letters were read from Mrs. Fletcher, past secretary; also M-s. Burt, new conference secretary and Miss Davis. Miss Eu lah Benson, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bursell of Central Point, and William Foley, son of Mrs. Alice Fo ley of Gold Hill were united In mar riage, by the Rev. D. E. Millard, In a double ring ceremony. Mrs. Foley was given In marriage by her uncle, Mr. Bur sell, and Miss Myrna Barrett of Medford was her maid of honor. The groom's brother, Lester Foley, acted as best man. The bride was attired In a gown of white crepe, and carried a bouquet of white rose-buds and sweet-peas. Miss Barrett, the maid of honor, wore a gown of green crepe, and carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. The bride la a graduate of the University of Oregon at Eugene, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She is also a mem ber of Phi Beta Kappa honorary scho lastic society. She has been affiliated with the faculty of the Medford high school for several years, and was head of the mathematics department there before her resignation at the end of the last semester. The groom Is foreman at the H. D. McCaskcy orchard on the Old Stage road, where the couple plans to make their home. W. II. M. S. Plans Friendship Luncheon The W. H. M. S. of the First Metho dist church are giving their annual Friendship luncheon. Tuesday. Eastern Star, held the first of a series of social gatherings last Tues day evening at the Masonic hall. About 60 guests were seated at the beautifully arranged tables for din ner served by members of the club. The president. Lita Kyle, deserves much credit for the success of this gathering both socially ond financial ly. Ed Vincent was toastmaster tor the evening. He invited the guests, after the dinner, to assemble In the chapter room where tables were ar ranged for cards and other games. Leonard. t Forest Personnel Take Skiing Trip The personnel of the Rogue River National forest offices are planning a skiing trip tfc Union Creek today, where winter sports will be enjoyed and luncheon served. Earlwyn Cutler Is In charge of arrangement. The forest service has constructed a ski slide, shelter and has provided cook stoves and firewood at the re sort. Although the s.ow is now not more than one and a half feet deep, clear weather during the last few days has made skiing conditions satisfactory. There was a good attendance and visitors present from San Fernando, Calif. Plans were made for a cord party to be given Feb. 30 for the benefit of the degree team. The members were extended and accepted an invitation to a rally to be held by Phoenix circle on Monday night, Feb. 11. Chrysanthemum de gree team will put on the flag cere mony.
