Members of the club were east In the three-act produc tion, and all were highly compliment ed for the finished manner In which they carried their role. It waj Mrs. A. J. Hanby who took the part of Kan, housekeeper at the Meredith home, who waa referred, to sa "the family boas," and waa con stantly discussing the romantic turn Mlas Jean Meredith, 14-year-old mem ber of the family had taken, due to reading Shakespeare. Jean, played by Mrs. Royal E. Bebb, waa the young miss who arranged for Nan's elopment with her girlhood sweetheart, Jake (unbeknown to Nan). Elopements, Jem thought, were "un pleblan," and she waa somewhat dis appointed when Nan refused to come down the ladder Jean had placed be neath her window, and depart with Jake. It waa Jean, also, who had all the worries about the romance of hsr older sister, Catherine, portrayed by Mrs. C. I. Drummond. Catherine had quite a time deciding whether It was Spencer Cummlnga, the. poet, with whom she waa la love, or young Dr. Jim Abbott. Mrs. Louis B. Humphry aucceaafully fulfilled this part. Dick Meredith, Jean'a and Cathar ine's brother, who couldn't get excited ! about any of the family romances, wss of little help to Jean In the un successfully planned elopement. Dick's Individuality waa expressed In the manner he wore his cap. Mrs. Aletha Vawter received applause for taking this part, and Mrs. R. C. MulhoUand waa credited with many of the laughs i for the afternoon. Jean, however, was pleased witn Catherine's acceptance of Dr. Jim, and was glad to kpow she didn't elope with Spencer on the night Jean had planned Nan's getaway. Mlas Norrls, author of the fine play, waa a guest at the meeting Thursday afternoon, and waa highly compli mented by each of the members for her exceptional production, which she had also directed. Miss Norrls has written a number of radio playa which have been presented throughout the country, by leading stations. The large group of Post Delphians and their invited guests were well pleased with the fine entertainment, and Mrs. Fabrtck waa thanked for her hospitality. Luncheon waa enjoyed In the gar den at noon and aa a part of the afternoon program, Mrs. Lyle P. Wil cox gave an Interesting paper on the Passion Play at Oberammergau.
