Poley today on the case of Bruno Richard Hauptmann, Indicted for extortion In the Llnd- berch kidnap case, and aald New Jersey would ask for extradition ot the prisoner when the Investigation of the New Jersey case was complete. He said the purpose of his confer ence with the district attorney was a general discussion of the case. Will New Jersey ask extradition before Hauptmann goea to trial In the Bronx?" he waa asked. V4 teaspoon celery salt. teaspoon paprika. Cut egg plant Into one-Inch cross way slices. Cut off peels. Sprinkle with salt and arrange slices on top each other. Let stand one hour. Rinse with cold water. Dip in crumbs. In egg mixed with water and again In crumbs. Heat fat In frying pan. Add and quickly brown egg plant. Add rest of Ingredients and cover and cook slowly 10 minutes or until very tender when tested with fork. Ar range with edges overlapping on serv ing platter. Surround with creamed ham. 3 tablespoons butter. 3 tablespoons flour. 14 cups milk. 1 cup diced cooked ham. VA teaspoon salt. pep- teaspoon chopped parsley, teaspoon chopped onions. 14 teaspoon chopped green pers. Melt butter, add flour and blend. Add milk and cook until creamy sauce forms. Steamed Blueberry Pudding 1 cup flour. 1 cup soft bread. 3-3 cup sugar. 1-3 cup fat. melted. 3 tablespoonst baking powder. I 14 teaspoon salt. v 1 teaspoon vanilla. H teaspoon lemon extract. 11 teaspoon nutmeg. I cupa washed berries. 1 egg. 3-3 cxip milk. Mix all Ingredients, nil 3-3 full In dividual baking dishes. Cover with waxed papers and ateam 1 hour. Un mold, serve hot with lemon sauce. Lemon Sauce 1 cup sugar. 3 tablespoons flour. 1-3 cup lemon Juice. li cups water, ft teaspoon salt. 3 tablespoons butter. Blend sugar and flour. Add rest of Ingredients and cook slowly, stirring frequently until sauce thickens. The orders received by 1,363 mills reporting to the association were for 177.4fl0.0OO feet. Shipments exceeded those of the previous two weeks, but were lower than during August. The mills reported shipments of 191.528, 000. Production was slightly lower, totaling 187.304.000 feet. Revised figures for the previous week were given as: Production, 300,101,000 feet; shipments. 817,500, 000 feet, and orders 184.046000 feet.
