Undergoes Operation Mrs. Nellie Gibson of 248 Sunrise avenue under went a tonsillectomy at the Sacred Heart hospital Saturday night In an emergency operation. King, CA-Res., who has been on detached service at Camp Tyee, near Roseburg, has been ordered to return to hla regular station at Camp Dog Lake, near Lake view, ac cording to the Medford CCC head quarters. Knows Furnas S. C. Williamson of Portland, formerly of this city, stop ped In Medford for a few minutes this morning on his way to Pasadena. Mr. Williamson stated that he knew Chas. Furnas of this city, and expressed the hope that Mr. Furnas was doing well with hla business. Miss Ahlstrom Returns Miss Ger trude Ahlstrom left this week-end for Medford wfcere she teaches In the Jackson school. Miss Ahlstrom has been visiting during the past few weeks at the home of her mother. Mrs. F. J. Ahlstrom. During the early part of the summer she attended the University of Oregon summer school. Mr. Denson reports that there was a good crowd, and that business la definitely on the up -swing. Leave for North Mrs. R. A. Bliss, who haa been receiving medical treatment at the Community hospital for the past several days, left over the week-end for her home In Portland. Mrs. Bliss made the trip by train, under the care of Mrs. P. N. Cum mlngs, Jr., who Is residing at Pros pect, where Mr. Cummlnga Is em ployed In the geological survey. Mr. Bliss, who haa also been employed In the survey during the summer, had left previously by motor for Portland, to resume hla work there as engineer ing instructor at the Y. M. C. A. He was accompanied by hla sister and his small daughter Slyvia. Mrs. Cum mlngs, with her small son Frederick Deane, will return to Medford after a short visit with her mother, Mrs. I. D. Vernum.
