The bride, a graduate of Rogue River high school, la the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde W. Anniversary Party For the Maentzes On Friday Evening In celebration of the first anniver sary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maentz, a group of friends gave a surprise dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oeorge M. Miss RuthLuy Is Home From South Miss Ruth Marie Luy, local danc ing Instructor, returned to Medford Friday from San Francisco and Los Angeles, where she has been spend ing the summer. For six weeks Miss Luy attended the Fanchon Marco school of dancing, where she received her normal school certificate. She spent two weeks In San Fran cisco visiting friends before returning to Medford. where she plans to re open her studios In the near future. Mrs. N. D. Wood also gave her report of the annual con ference held In Milton. Ore. Mrs. Wood brought the honor roll badge to the Medford auxiliary, which they had gained by their years work, one was re-elected district secretary for thla district. Helen N orris' Play, Stage Presentation Hollywood Theater Sponsored by the Little Thestre Movement, a three-act comedy for stage, written by Helen N orris was presented by Hollywood professionals at the Hollywood Studios theatre three evenings lsst week. The director waa Harry Stafford. Belasco'a manager for the stsge and screen success, "Let Us Be Oay." The comedy was Miss Norrlss first attempt In thla field of writing and received high praise from Hollywood critics.
