(AP) The securities markets recovered substan tially today, as the state of Jitters over tlie Austrian situation passed. Yesterday's severe losses were by no means fully regained, but many stocks at the close showed gains of 91 ao 94 a share, and bonds were mostly substantially above yester day's final levels. Thet rise In stocks was largely scored In the first hour, when prices surged upward in trading almost active as yesterday's. Thereafter, the list turned dull, and scrattcred sell ing cropped out. The close waa spotty, with a few issues, notably some of the utilities and oils, actu aly registering further losses. The majority, however, were higher Foreign bonds, notably Austrian, Polish and Italian, recovered a point or two, and Germans stiffened. Do- mestic corporate bonds were mostly higher, and some of the U. S. govern ment issues regained a good part of yesterday's drop. Transfers approxi mated 2.100,000 shares.
