Brewer last Thurs day when he atarted work on a gold mine. Professor V. M. nuaaong, who ox a mined th bonea now on exhibition at Mr. Brewer'a home, 737 South Cen tral, said he believes the specimens to belong to a apeclea known as ele phaa oolumbr. which Inhabited this region during the glacier period. Brewer made the discovery tn a bed of bin clay about tn feet unler th surface, and aatd the bonee were apparently a part of a complete akele ton which crumbled for the most part into dirt when expoeed. The remains, he aald, extended over an area about 33 feet long. Wing, and Leonard Carpen ter. Arrangement were completed yes terday for the establishment of an of fice at 317 Liberty building which will be opened for business on Tuesday morning next.
