Crocker, post office employe, la on a day's vacation today. It Is reported that, playing golf for the first time in his life, he made a score of 48 for nine holes on the Rogue Valley course Tuesday evening, thereby gaining the envy of golfing friends. In Active Duty Seigeant Virgil A. Swarxson of company A, 186th Infan try, haa been transferred from the re serve to active duty. It was announced today. Corporal Seeley A. Johnson has been transferred to the reserve from active duty. They spent part of the time at their sum mer lodge on Vashon island and en Joyed a trip to Mt. Rainier. ' Gentle Acting Surgeon With the district surgeon, First Lieutenant Wallace A. Douglas, in the cast, First Lieutenant HJalmar T. Gentle has been aslgned as acting district sur geon. His dutlea at Camp Annie Springs will be taken over by Or. William C. Bundrant, surgeon at Camp Wineglass. Moto to Lakevfew Mr, and Mrs. Joe Enders and daughter Shirley have moved to Lakevlew, where Mr. Enders la employed by the sawmills. They will make their home In a pleasant apartment at the hot springs near Lakevlew. Mrs. Enders, who has been in Klamath Falls for some time, was In Ashland recently attending to de tails of moving, and waa accompanied on her return by her daughter Shir ley, who haa been visiting relatives and friends in Ashland and Treka. To Crescent City Dr. I. Gove and family enjoyed a trip to Crescent City, North, Bend and Lake Takchnlck the first of the week. They were accom panied back to Medford by Stanley White of North Bend, Dr. Gove's cousin, who will spend the summer here. E CINCINNATI. (UP ) Did you ever hear a dog singing? Well, Mrs. Anna Alexander did. She owns such a dog. Tim. This Is not a back fence nightmare. He actually Identifies and Imitates five musical notes. His range Is with in the key of E-flat. When Mrs. Alexander plays chords on the piano, Tim gives voice or bark to tones of surprising resemblance. Now three, Tim began his warbling career at 18 months. Mrs. Alexander, herself a teacher of voice, first ob served the dog's love of music, she said, when at a park concert, the animal aat without moving. Later, she noticed that he attempted to' re produce the tones which she played on the piano, and then she began the systematic "development" of his "tal ent." Like many other geniuses, Tim had humble beginnings. His lineage Is undistinguished and n appearance he is part spaniel and part wire-haired terrier. Tim has made one public appear ance.
