E
CINCINNATI. (UP ) Did you ever
hear a dog singing? Well, Mrs. Anna
Alexander did. She owns such a dog.
Tim.
This Is not a back fence nightmare.
He actually Identifies and Imitates
five musical notes. His range Is with
in the key of E-flat. When Mrs.
Alexander plays chords on the piano,
Tim gives voice or bark to tones of
surprising resemblance.
Now three, Tim began his warbling
career at 18 months. Mrs. Alexander,
herself a teacher of voice, first ob
served the dog's love of music, she
said, when at a park concert, the
animal aat without moving. Later,
she noticed that he attempted to' re
produce the tones which she played
on the piano, and then she began the
systematic "development" of his "tal
ent."
Like many other geniuses, Tim had
humble beginnings. His lineage Is
undistinguished and n appearance he
is part spaniel and part wire-haired
terrier.
Tim has made one public appear
ance. Last year, he participated in
an amateur night at a theater Bud
was awarded a prize for his ability.

For those seeking real entertain

good singing, "Stlngaree," now at
the Craterlan theater, will completely
satisfy.
A dramatic romanoe, colored by
charming music "Stlngaree" is well
acted by Richard Dlx In the title
role antl by Irene Dunne, whose lovely
voice la heard In several song num
bers, both popular and operatic. Her
singing of "Tonight Is Mine," particu

only disappointment In hearing her
beautiful voice is that it has taken
almost five years to bring It to the
screen, even though It was her suc
cess In musicals that first won her
