(AP) -The two Puget Sound playeii who cam to the Pacific Northwest amateur golf tournament "for fun" didn't havo any frolicking time In the fin al! today with Ken Storey, the mighty midget of Spokane, and Miss Marian McDougall, sun-bronzed Port land performer, capturing the cham pionships by lopsided scores. Storey, the. littlest guy In the meet, won the biggest prize awarded by disposing of Ralph Whaley, Seattle, 8 and 8, while Miss McDougall was conquering Mrs. Don Scott, Bremer ton, S and 7. By virtue of their victories, Storey brought the title back to Spokane tor the first time In eight years and Miss McDougall gave the Rose City Its first women's crown In 81 sea sons. Only twice has Portland been victorious In the feminine race and that was back In 1903 and 1000. Both of the now chaplons were up all day, gaining their leads on the first nine holes this morning ana adding additional holes every so of ten as they thrilled a gallery of 3000 persons as far as they went over the 36-holo -route. Storey, whose only other claims to titles being In Inland Empire tour naments here, won one-hole advan tage on the first nine, gained four more on the way home and went nine head at the 37th.
