Fewell Zi,44 Nion Tuckers Are Sailing Friday To Hawaiian Islands Mr, nd Mr. Nlon Tucker of Bur llngnmo, Calif., who arrived her by motor last Tuesday to spend several dnys at Rogue' Boost, their aummor lodge on the river, plan to tail mis Friday from Los Angeles for Hono lulu, Hawaii, to vacation for a month. Upon their return to the mainland, Mr. and Mra. Tucker will again come to Rogue's Roost, and entertain number of their friends, whom they have already Invited to Join them here. In two weeks, their daughter, Miss Phyllis Ann, will entertain with a house party at Rogue's Roost, for guests who will accompany her to Medford from Burllngame and Han Francisco. Later In the month Mas ter Nlon Tucker. Jr., will bring sev eral of hla friends here from the bay district for a house party. Sigma Epsilon Pi's Breakfast Tuesday As a part of educational day at Ashland, Tuesday, June 5, Sigma Epsilon PI, women's honorary society at the Southern Oregon Normal school Is giving a commencement breakfast at the Llthla hotel In Ash land at eight o'clock. All girls In the graduating class, present members of tho organization as well as those who formerly be- longed, are welcome. The graduates will go from the hotel to Llthla park, where the graduation exercises are to be held. Program and Luncheon Given at Valley School Class day exercises at the Valley school Friday wore attended by an enthuslaatlo audience, and about 13ft were present for the luncheon served on the terraces at noon. Miss I. Marie Foss, who has been principal of the eehool for the past four years, has resigned her position, and will be succeeded by Miss Naomi Hoh man, now a member of tho faculty. ' "Smile Magic" waa the title of the operetta presented by the pupils, which waa given under the direction of Mrs. Maurlne Duncan. Jeanne Sal ade, who took the part of Molly, the girl lost In the woods, waa com plimented for her tine singing. Other members of the cast were Old Man of the Mountain, Marta Scherer! All of the children In the school participated In the skit, which gave the visitors an opportunity to hear the puplla' speaking knowledge of the French langusge. The luncheon, arrangement for which were mede by Mrs. Alfred 8 V. Carpenter, waa greatly enjoyed, end wee considered a fitting close for the successful school year. The ex hibit will be open to the public, without charge. In the afternoon a Colonial tea will be held at the church. Plant Visits Mrs. Lemmon Here Mrs. Helen Plant was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Crawford Lemmon and family here Saturday en route to San Jose, where she Is assistant dean of women In the state teachers' col lege. A party has been planned in their honor during their visit In Medford Delegates To Report On Grand Lodge Session Reports from delegates to the Grand Lodge will be the feature of the business for tho Olive Rebekah lodge, Monday evening, June 4. Royal Neighbors Give Dance and Card Party On Thursday evening, the Royal Neighbors entertained with a dance and card party, which was attended by many guests. Mrs. Gentry was awarded the prize at bridge. In charge for the evening, were Neigh bor Alice Lewis and her committee.
