MARTIN TOR GOVERNOR CLUBS. By their Presidents: Fred L. Heath, Mrs. Evan Reames. (Paid Adv.) GEO. W. DUNN Is a candidate for nomination for State Senator on the Republican Ticket to succeed himself. If nominated and elected, he will, as he has done in the past twelve years, try to truly represent the peo ple of Oregon. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee at the 1933 Regular Session of the Legisla ture, he assisted In reducing the State expenses from $16,000,000 to 19.000,000 for the biennlum 1933 and 1934. As Chairman of the Sub-committee of the Ways and Means Com mittee on agriculture, he saved the State over 8100,000 that in all proba bility would have been appropriated for the State Fair at Salem and the Paciflo International at Portland, had he not refused, over strong protest and vigorous lobbying, to approve these appropriations. Both of those fairs were successfully held last year without the assistance sought, which shows that in those places fairs can and should be self-sustntmng. He Is not neutral on the Sales Tax. He voted for the tax and because of the Inability of so many property owners to pay their taxes, an emer gency now exists, and he strenuously urges all to vote for the Sales Tax to meet the emergency, to save our schools, and to relieve property tax payers of a part of their burden. He beloncs to no faction, haa no fads, and desires no further political advancement. He believes In good government, but has no sympathy for the so-called "Good Government Congress." If yon think his experience In the legislature and the friendly contacts he has made In all parts of the State would be worth anything to you in . promoting good legislation, you can s have his services for less than the cost to him. ifoMarhety Livestock. Q?7 CuflDteGB Gfl Glflfe GO do you suppose Chenolet keep repeating, in all of ha advertising, "Drive it only 5 miles"? Very frankly. hen's the reason: Chevrolet engineers have tried out all the various makes of cars in today's low-price field. They have compared performance on rough roads, in traffic, ovor hills, through sand and mud and water! And they have proved, to their complete satisfac tion, the same things that hundreds of thousands of Chevrolet owners are proving in their daily driving. The Chevrolet ride simply can't be matched by any other in the low-price field. That's why we urgo you to "Draw it only 5 miles" and that's why wo promise, "you'll never ba tatiified with any other low-priced car."
