EVERHARD FAMILY (Luntlnued from page one) Lillian, and two older children, June, nine, and Bruce, seven, who were in school Friday, when the tragedy oc curred, were outfitted with necessary clothes by the Red Cross Friday night. Their other needs are many, Miss Lillian Roberts, Red Cross ex ecutive, stated yesterday. The basement at the Elks club will be used for storing and assem bling all household goods available until the same can be delivered to the family, club members stated. A Mother Anguished County Coroner Frank Perl and state police officers, called to the . West Phoenix district to Investigate the fire, were, of the opinion late Friday that the flames had been started by the older children, play- , ing with matches during their moth er's absence. Before leaving for the mall, Mrs. Everhard stated, she had Instructed the children to stay outside the house. She was returning from the mall box when she discovered the . flames. She hurried to the scene, but was too late to gain entrance to the house. The two little girlo outside had no explanation to give, other than that they were playing, when they heard the roar of flames and ran from the building. They did not know what had become of their baby sister. The kitchen, In which the little body was found under the stove, which bad melted to the ground, had no outside exit. The only door lead into another room. Officers believed that the baby, terrified by the heat of the flames, had crawled under ' the stove in an effort to escape. The house was but 26 feet by 33 ' feet In size and was divided Into " three rooms. Mrs, Everhard, beforo calling offi cers, summoned her husband front the 4dl orchard, where he was em ployed several miles distant, O. E.
