The popular Lea Wolfe, Texas ex ponent of the rolling scissors will to night get a chance to wipe out the flukey fall which he lost to Al Karas lck, the Russian Hon here some time ago. Wolfe has been training hard and tit in fine condition. Karaslck, one of the busiest matmen on the coast, keeps Jn trim by his frequent matches and Is a hard customer for any wrestler to handle. The pair wilt work in one half of the double main rent card, with a time limit of one hour. (Special) So successful was the flrst-lnter-dlstrict athletla meet between the Medford and Eugene districts that another Is being planned for the spring baseball competition. Camp Tyee, representing the Eu gene district, defeated Camp Apple- gate, representing the Medford dis trict, In an inter-district basketball game played at Rose burg, 40 to 36. The game was close and hard-fought and Tyee's narrow-margin victory re vealed that the two districts are very close in athletic strength. Captain B. A. McMahon, welfare of ficer of the Medford district, attend ed the- backetball game In Rose burg, and suggested that the two districts meet in baseball competition. Lieut. James Keys, Oamp Applegate athletic officer, accompanied his team to the Eugene district. The group was entertained at the Melrose camp near Rose burg. Capt. 6. Gordon Hyde, Mel rose commander, acted as host to the visitors. Tyee's lineup Included G renter, Put- man, Roberts, Osln, - Austin and Thrasher. Thrasher was high point man for his team with 14 points. Marugg of Applegate was high point man of the game with 10. Tungate, Randall, Mornlngstar, nodgera and Burnett concluded the Applegate lineup. The host team had plenty of shots, but could not connect until late in the game. Klamath Falls earned the title of "Iron men" In the first round, the only team which did not run In any substitutions during the entire con test, In which they nad a battle to defeat Stlverton. Scott, forward for SUverton, led his quintet in a fast game. He is the only member of the all-state team of las year back In the tournament this season. Klamath Pelicans led at the quar ter, but dropped behind Silverton. 17 to 13, at half time. A tie of 33-all ended the third period, while In the final eight minutes the southerners forged ahead to win, 81 to as. The feature of the day will be the team match between golfers from Sis kiyou county and a special selected team from Grants Pass and Ashland. Siskiyou .county will be represented by at least forty players from the Weed, McCloud and Yreka clubs. A like number will be present from Ash land and Grants Pass.
