It would prohibit the location of ' slot machines, bicycle stands and other devices on the sidewalks and restrict the dumping of rubbish In: alleys. Stores and other businesses, finding It necessary to unpack mer chant' -e In the alleys, would be re quired under the ordinance to re move the same within three hours. Report on Deuel Building The special committee appointed to Investigate the Deuel building on East Main, street, from the stand point of public afety, reported the south and west walls unsafe at the present time. The report recom mended that proper bracing be placed at these walls. The matter was re ferred to City Building Inspector Frank Rogers with power to act. Oak street Sewer Urged The need for sewer Installation on Oak street was brought before the city council by Dr. L. D. Inskeep, city health olilcer, and City Superintend' ent Scheffel. Mr. Scheffel stated that the work would require an ex penditure of rfbout 980 In labor and that the city had available sufficient pipe for the installation. The mat- matter was referred to the health committee of the" council.
