PAGE SEVEN Society and Clubs Edited by Eoa Nealon Hamilton program Announced For "Wedding Gown" Tea - The program waa announced today for the "wedding gown" tea to be sponsored tomorrow afternoon at the Colonial club by the Parent-Teacher association. Part of the program will be given at 3:30 and the remainder at 4 o'clock In order to enable all guesta to enjoy the numbers. Mlsa Dorothy Gore will enteraln with piano and violin numbers, Ml&s Grace Jo Burnett with a vocal solo, Mrs. O. I. Drummond with violin numbers and Mrs. Maurlne Duncan with a vocal solo, Mrs. William Mc Allister accompanying at the piano. Mrs. Warren Butler will be at the piftno for the more formal numbers. From 2:30 to 3 o'clock the women of the Jackson school will serve about the rooms. From 3 until 4 the wom en of the Junior high school, and from 4 until 5 the women of the Washington school. Pouring at the tea tables will be Mrs. I. E. Schuler and Miss Edith Patton from 2 to 3 o'clock. From 3 to 4 Mrs. Olen Fabrlck and Mrs. J. C. Mann, from 4 to S Mrs. B. O. Harding and Mrs. R. E. Qreen. On the hospitality committee for the occasion are Mrs. Dade Terrett, Mrs. Jack Swem and Mrs. E. H. Hed rlck. The three will appear in Colo nial costumes during the afternoon. Another Interesting display arrang ed In connection with the tea Is to be found In the Brophy Jewelry shop window today. It features wedding rings of all periods. Gowns are on display at Mann's, Adrlenne's and the C rater ian theater, and posters are ap pearing all about the town. Mrs. Hurd Returns From Trip East Mrs. E. H. Hurd has returned home after spending a delightful winter in Chicago with her son, J. B. Hurd. En route she visited her brother in the old home in Iowa and he ac companied her to Chicago, where they attended "A Century of Progress" fair together. Mrs. Hurd also visited In New York city and a daughter In. Providence, R. I., and friends in Boston. - Returning home she visited her son and family at Albuquerque and spent a day at the Grand Canyon. Prosperity Ball of Interest on Calendar Many social groups are making plans to attend the Prosperity ball to be sponsored tomorrow night at the Jackson county fairgrounds pa vilion by Hillah patrol of the south ern Oregon Shrine. The dance la ex pected to be one of the outstanding social events of the early spring In this city and will draw guests from all sections of the valley, as business men from Grants Pass, Medford and Ashland will cooperate to make the affair a success. Christie Returns To Home In North. Robert Christie, who has been guest for five weeks of his aunt, Mrs. Laura Aiming, and uncle, Judge. E. E. Kelly and family, left Wednesday for his home in Westminister, B. C. While here he was the Inspiration of several Informal parties. Alpha Slrma Class Meets Sunday Morning The Alpha Sigma class will meet In general assembly again Sunday morn ing at the First Methodist Episcopal church, at 9:45 o'clock. The session to be followed by Bible study in the pastor's study, under the leadership of C. A. Meeker. This is a mixed class and all people who are not already attending Sunday school, are invited to Join the group. All regular mem ber are also urged to be present. Ashland Women Invited To Tea Here Tomorrow Ashland women have been invited to attend the Wedding Gown tea for which members of the Medford P.-T. Greater Medford Chin Meets Monday Afternoon The next regular meeting of the Greater Medford club will be held Monday afternoon, March 5. In the women's club rooms of the city hall. Some Important business will be brought before the club and a large attendance is urged. Home From Mc.Mlnnvllle Misses Grace Hermanson and Laur loe Hugger represented the Central Point Hi-Trlangle at the young peo ple state meet of the Missionary Study Clubs of the Christian Churches, held In McMinnvllle, Feb ruary 33 and 34. Another distinction was the elec tion of Laurene Hugger to the of fice of state secretay of the organ ization for the coming year. The Central Point Hi-Triangle club was awarded highest honor and a prize for the best report, and also highest honor for displaying the best friendship poster of all the organi sation.
