Mar. 1. (Spl.) S. H. Bender place, three-fourths of mile west of Central Point, was sold last week to Mr. Thompson of Louisiana, the deal being completed Monday. February 38. The school children entertained their mothers and several other women I Thursday afternoon with a program: commemorating the lives of Abraham Lincoln. George Washington and James Russel Lowell. Every pupil had a part. Elmer Kan tor and Marian Ferns were absent due to illness. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Messenger gave a farewell party for their children, Don- aid. Harold and Veld a, Saturday eve-! inng. Feb. 17. A large crowd enjoyed outdoor games and later, dancing. The Messengers moved the first of the week to West Medford. Robert Ferns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ferns has been ill with a sore throat. It was swollen so that at first they suspected mumps. The school children challenged the fathers to a baseball game. Sunday afternoon at the school grounds. It proved a close and exciting game, the boys winning 18 to 16.
