But when John Jo seph McOraw, ex-chlef of the Giants died Sunday, many Medford people thought that Newton L. McGraw of North Central, .had lost a brother. When the "Little Napoleon" of baseball was at the helghth of his career George Putnam wrote a story about him and added at the bottom that he was a brother of the local McGraw, then an operator for the Postal Telegraph, The rumor met with McGraw's approval and It was not denied. Yesterday a number of hlsfriends were still believers In the story. 'BELLiTRSllN IN The Royal Bell Ringers, who will appear in concert here March 8, are meeting with tremendous favor in northern cities, according to reports In the press. In Portland the or ganization was received with enthu siastic ovation and Medford sponsors of the program here are eagerly awaiting the date of presentation. Tickets will be on sale at the chamber of commerce Thursday or Friday of this week and the prices will be very nominal for adults and children.
