We hazarded th guess, that President Roosevelt expected, heart a sound money man himself, what he feared in the future we opined waa NOT attack, from the conservatives but from the RADICALS, he was not worried by those who like Al Smith and Barney Barueh, intimated he had gone too far; but those who like Senatora Thomas, Pittman and Wheeler, were sure to ba convinced he waa not going far enough. In short we maintained, President Roosevelt as usual, was politically speaking, about tlx jumps ahead of his closest ad visers, waa playing a far deeper and more skillful game, than any of them suspected, and that by the time congress- assembled this truth would be clear to all. According to information from Washington, the reliability of which can not be questioned, they are eating out of the presi dent's hand. They are perfectly satisfied with what has been done, and have no intention Of demanding more. Those who C10T It SPENT It. In the process of spending, they made business better. When business Is good, people have the money with which to pay taxes. When It la bsd, they HAVEN'T. UST how does this borrowing- J spendlng-taxlng process o r k. Well, the government BORROWS tha money from those who HAVE it. Then It SPENDS It among those who haven't. When It note com due, It taxea those who HAVE, In order to get the money with which to psy what It has borrowed.
