The Jack son school Parent-Teacher association will meet Friday afternoon, December IS, at the Jackson school at S o'clock. Christmas Tree The Wash ington Parent-Teacher association will hold a Christmas tree Friday after noon at 1:30 o'clock. The event has been arranged as a benefit for the lunch room and each person attend ing is asked to bring a donation for the lunch room. Skoog, traveling meclta- EAGLES LODGE DRIVE WILL CLOSE FRIDAY Membership drive of the local Eagles' lodge which has been carried on for the past aeveral weeks will come to a close Friday night, after which time the Initiation fee will automatically revert to $25 as pre scribed by the by-laws of the order. The drive has been one of the out standing campaigns ever conducted In the northwest, having enrolled some 350 new members, making the local aerie one of the strongest or ganizations In the state. As In "Maedchen In Uniform," she lavishes her love and affection upon a young girl. In the story, Joanna enters a con vent at the age of 18. Her natural deslde for motherhood Is gratified when a baby Is left at the convent door, and she Is permitted to raise It. The child, Teresa, grows to maid enhood in the convent under the care of 30. "mothers." At 18 Teresa falls In love and determines to leave the convent. The struggle on her part between her love for Joanna and her sweetheart, pi us the strug gle of Joanna and the sisters, who do not know whether to attempt 'to hold Teresa or let her go, furnish the climax for this unusual story.
