Obedient to the edict, Bally dsnced onto the stage, manipulating her fsns with such dexterity that no one in the audience knew she was wear ing anything. She continued through the entire dance without exposing her costume. Then, with dramatic suddenness, she stood before the audience and brought the fans away from her body with a swish. HELD IN THEFT Jack Gibson, also known as Jack Anderson. 37, la being held In the olty Jail on charges of petty larceny and tomorrow will be taken before Judge A. D. Gibson, according to Chief of Po lice Clatous McCredle, was raking leaven from the lawn at the Bolger home, 34 Rosa court, between fi:30 and 1:30 o'clock, and w.hen he dis appeared before the Job was com pleted the money was missing from the envelope containing the bill, al though the envelope had been re turned to the bottle. The young man waa arrested by city police and 4.3 was found In his possession. He told officers he had found the bill "six reet from the curb." He said he spent 69 cents for breakfsat and cigarettes. District At torney William Trlpdle asked that sentence be suspended until auditors could report on the exact shortage In the state board of control collection department where Malzels was in charge. Grieve of Prospect long time friends of the deceased are named as appraisers. State Senator Oeorge W. Dunn of Ashland, a son, la named adminis trator of the estate of Mary M. Dunn, southern Oregon pioneer, who recent ly pawed away at the age of 97 years. Three daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Van Sant of Portland, Mrs. Ottilia Cald well of Eugene, and Mrs. Ella D. Rice of Portland and Senator Dunn are listed as the heirs. There was no will. The personal property estimate 1s 30,000. Thomas H. Simpson, J. W. McCoy and W. H. McNalr, all resi dents of Ashland, are listed as ap praisers of the estate. CIVIL CASE TAKES The first of the civil suits, listed for the southern Oregon term of the federal court. Federal Judge James A. Fee presiding, was underway to day. It was the action of B. R. Warren against the Forest Lumber company of Klamath county for 176,000 alleged damages. The suit grows out of an accident at the mill of the defend ants, wherein It Is claimed that War ren sustained permanent Injuries to his legs from scalding steam.
