Sleeter, left this morning on the Shasta for Portland for the Univer sity of Oregon medical school. It waa an nounced t.ls morning by John C. Mann, who will act as chairman. The purpose of the luncheon Is to create enthusiasm among the citizens of Medford for the high school foot ball team and to give encouragement to Coach Burgher and his squad for the coming winter. The splendid records which have been set In the past by high school teams have been the means of ob taining a vast amount of publicity for Medford and It Is believed that similar results can be accomplished this year If the squad receives the united support of the community. Luncheon will be served promptly at 13 o'clock and those who desire to attend are asked to obtain tickets at the Chamber of Commerce, price 40 cents.
