morning when a tractor overturned

of th Civilian Conservation corps. He

FOOTBALL SQUAD
The Chamber of Commerce will
hold a forum luncheon at the high
school next Wednesday, October 4,
at 13:00 o'clock noon. It waa an
nounced t.ls morning by John C.
Mann, who will act as chairman.
The purpose of the luncheon Is to
create enthusiasm among the citizens
of Medford for the high school foot
ball team and to give encouragement
to Coach Burgher and his squad for
the coming winter.
The splendid records which have
been set In the past by high school
teams have been the means of ob
taining a vast amount of publicity
for Medford and It Is believed that
similar results can be accomplished
this year If the squad receives the
united support of the community.
Luncheon will be served promptly
at 13 o'clock and those who desire
to attend are asked to obtain tickets
at the Chamber of Commerce, price
40 cents. Following the luncheon,
an assembly will be held Jointly with
the student body of the high school

the program on Wednesday,

have been giving their support to
this year's program n a very com
mendable way," stated Mr. Mann this
morning, "and I sincerely trust that
we shall receive a full measure of
co-operation In our forum luncheon
next Wednesday. The luncheon will
be a little different from those
which the Chamber of Commere has
held In recent months, but I do feel
that the business men and women
of the community should give our
high school students the support to
