Barnes, ; now perfecting a machine, which is demanding the attention of southern Oregon mlnera, members of the as sociation reported today. It Is aimed to detect the type of minerals located In an area. 40 feet square and 35 feet deep. The machine, a now perfected, will locate minerals over that area without difficulty, but will not detect the kind of ore de posited, the mining men atated, ex pressing confidence in Mr. Barnes' device. He has been working on the mining Invention for the past year apd a half. Barnes la remembered here as the youthful Inventor of Medford's first home made airplane. Much storage stock waa being offered as fresh goods. Chicken market remains very slow but without quotable price changes for the day.
