The quaint production wss directed by the three Instruc tors of the school. Miss Jane Dixon. Miss Marts Fobs and Mlaa NnomI Hohman and Included much orig inal work on the part of the chil dren, who painted the scenery. The favorite tale of "little folk and big folk" waa equally pleasing In musical form and utilized the natural ability of the children, which Is drawn out to it best capacity by the Incentives for self expression, of fered In the Valley school system. There will be no meeting tomor row evening of the Oregon State Col lege club, It was announced yester day. The change of meeting haa been made because of the Easter Monday ball to be sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. Grace Circle Has Pleasant Meeting Members of Grace Circle of the Presbyterian church met at the home of Mra. Lawrence Pennington on the Jacksonville road Tuesday for a very pleasant session, attended by twenty-one members and three guests, who were Rev. and Mra. W. J. Howell and Mrs. Lewis Ulrlch. Voicing the demands of modern education, which should fit the child to live and to enjoy living by expressing the best characteristics with which nature has endowed him, Mrs. Thorne-Thomsen stated that the Valley school In Medford la meeting those demands In Its meth od of Instruction. The need to edu cate the child to think and to cope witn present social condition and the changes which may evolve from the present structure was atressed by Mrs. Thorne-Thomsen In her lec ture Thursday evening. That need is oeing satisfied at Valley school. she later stated, commending resi dents of the Rogue River valley for being among the pioneers in an Im portant atep forward In the educa tional field, which haa for so many years failed to fit its people to meet the problems, which have again and again thrown the world Into de pression. Pocahontas Dance ' Festive Affair The dancing party, sponsored Fri day evening by the Pocahontas lodge at Redmen hall was a gay affair of the week. The hall was elaborately decorated for the party, music was furnished by Dickey's orchestra, and a large crowded attended.
