Meeting for One Week.
There will be no meeting tomor
row evening of the Oregon State Col
lege club, It was announced yester
day. The change of meeting haa been
made because of the Easter Monday
ball to be sponsored by the American
Legion Auxiliary. The next club
meeting will be held one week from
tomorrow, the place to be announced
later.

Pleasant Meeting
Members of Grace Circle of the
Presbyterian church met at the
home of Mra. Lawrence Pennington
on the Jacksonville road Tuesday for
a very pleasant session, attended by
twenty-one members and three
guests, who were Rev. and Mra. W.
J. Howell and Mrs. Lewis Ulrlch.
A lovely musical contribution was
added to the program of the after
noon by Mrs. Wra. McAllister and
Mra. Roy Duncan.

Portland Today

resident of this city for the past
two years, during which time they
have played an active 'part In the
club life of Medford, are leaving
today for the north. Mrs. Knapp
to spend the summer In' Portland.

Mrs. Thorne-Thomsen stated that
the Valley school In Medford la
meeting those demands In Its meth
od of Instruction. The need to edu
cate the child to think and to cope
witn present social condition and
the changes which may evolve from
the present structure was atressed
by Mrs. Thorne-Thomsen In her lec
ture Thursday evening. That need
is oeing satisfied at Valley school.

Festive Affair
The dancing party, sponsored Fri
day evening by the Pocahontas lodge
at Redmen hall was a gay affair of
the week. The hall was elaborately
decorated for the party, music was
furnished by Dickey's orchestra, and
a large crowded attended. Including
several couples from Ashland. -
The general committee for the af
fair was composed of Bernlce Wil
