Rogue river valley product as a result of the legalization of beer was forecast to day by C. M. Churchill, general man ager of the Central Point cheese plant, who addressed the Klwanls club at luncheon at the Hotel Med- ford. By putting a little more salt in the cheese, he stated, the thirst for more beer can be aroused. The satisfaction of the thirst will In turn arouse Vie desire for more cheese and so a prosperous circle for brew eries and cheese makers will result. The process of manufacture of the Central Point cheese was described to the club by Mr. Churchill and to make his description authentic, he gave each guest At the luncheon a slash of the product. The Central Point plant Is now handling 000 gallons of milk a day In the manufacture of cheese, .he stated, and Is equipped to care for 2000 gallons. The plant was con structed to handle 4000- gallons of milk a day, which Is the goal of the company. Walter Olmscheld, recently ap pointed sheriff of Jackson county to succeed Oordon L. Schermerhora, suspended from office for 00 days, was a guest at today's club luncheon and assured the Klwanlans that he will try to give the office proper ad ministration during the period of his appointment. A. H. At one stage of the trial Walter Jones, mayor of Rogue River, now under Indictment for ballot stealing, presented a petition demanding that Nealon resign. WASHINGTON. April 10.
