Gold Hill, after winning the first encoun ter, lost the second game to Port Orford, 11-46, and dropped from the list of competing teams. Little Paisley was ttie other aqusd to be forced out, losing games by over. whelming margins. Eight teams advanced Into the championship quarter-finals and eight Into the consolation. Three Jackson county teams were still In the championship play. They were Central Point. Butte Falls ana Phoenix, the favorite In tie lower bracket.
