In charge of Mrs. Ralph Sweeney, were Mrs. Bessie Lumtfdea and Mrs. W. F. Blddle. sr. The musical program, arranged by Mra. R. E. McSlhoae for the afternoon Included solos by Mrs. R. C. Mulhol land and Mrs. Eunice Hi 11 La and In strumental music by Miss Imogene Wallace. Mra. Mul holla nd was ac companied at the piano by Mrs. D. 3 Llbbey. Another very pleasing feature of the afternoon was the old fashlcned style show, tn which fine frocks, dat ing back to the gay nineties, appear ed. As the models made their debut, appropriate airs were played by Mrs C. O. L&rlson at the piano. Mrs. R. B. McElhote, wearing the much sung "Grey Bonnet" and petticoats to match, entertained with that ballad. In the fashion revue were Mrs. Wm McAllister, Mrs. Kenneth Denman. Mrs. Burdette Dodge, Miss Carol Dodge, Mrs. Walter .Frazer Brown, Mrs. R. E. McElhose, Mrs. Frank Per) and children, and Mrs. Lewis Ulrich. The latter appeared as the Beau Brommel of some 40 years ago, out ttng quite a dash In silk topper, Mrs. Burdotto Dodge sang as the parade's flnalo, "Good Night, Ladles" and waa attired for the close of the day. Little Miss DeLorls Ray passed the penny basket. The beautifully dec orated birthday cake was baked by Mrs. Jennie Merrltt. Mrs. Gates to Give Benefit Card Party Mrs. W. A. Gates will entertain Monday afternoon with a card party for the benefit of the Jackson Coun ty Red Cross chapter. There will be five tables of cards In play, and pro ceeds from the affair will be donated to the Red Cross for relief work. Libbey To Speak Before Delpkians The Pout-Delphian are looking forward with enthusiasm to the next chapter meeting when D. 8. Llbbey of the Forestry Service will address the olub. His subject Is to be "The New Geography." Mrs. Llbbey will play two piano numbers and Mrs. E. L. Knapp will give an appreciation of three of our late writers, Galsworthy, George Moors and Sara Teasdnla. The meeting will be called prompt ly at 9:30 at the home of Mra. R. W. The meeting was opened with de votional s by Mra. Iverson. A nomi nating committee was appointed to select officers for the coming year and plana were discussed for the an nual luncheon to be held In March. Present conditions In Palestine In relation to the founding of a nation al home by the Jews, was discussed by Mrs. Dolph Phlpps. The Increase In population; the remarkable ex pansion of industries especially along agricultural ltnea; the wide spread educational movement In which only the Hebrew language is spoken; and the founding of Tel Aviv, the only entire Jewish city In the world, have all developed along the lines foretold by the prophet Kaeklel, she pointed out. Mrs, Fischer pleased everyone with her vocal solos of sacred music. A round table discussion was then held on the necessity of teaching children obedience and concerning the proper methods of giving a true religious foundation. During the social hour that follow ed, refreshments were served by Mrs Brommer and her committee, Mes dames Remington, Sawyer, Sim kins and Kimball. Irish Motif Used Lovely Luncheon At Schenck Home A lovely party, at which shades of green, commemorating St. Pa trick day, just In the offing, were evi denced In tapers, place cards and re freshments, was given Friday by Mrs. Or In Schenck. Covers were arranged for 12 at the tabic, where sweetpeaa formed the centerpiece. Daffodils and frezlu were used about the rooms and luncheon was followed by three tables of bridge. Prize for high score went to Mrs. O. O. Darby and Mrs. W. A- Oatea was awarded the traveling prla. Daughters Union Veterans Enjoy . Special Program The Daughters of Onion Veterans had an unusual treat at their meet ing Feb. 94, when 33 pupils of the Lincoln school, under the direction of Miss PrlsclUa Webb, gave, in a short program, a playlet, dance and several songs, with Mlaa Webb direct ing. Members of the tent were grate ful to Miss Cox, Principal of Lincoln school, for arranging the entertain ment. There will be no session of the tent on March 10, but Instead a special meeting March 14, when Mrs. Annie S. Warren of Portland, state presi dent will make her annual visit. A covered dish dinner will be served at 6:30 and a business session will fol low. All members are asked to make a special effort to attend. The addresses furnished by the committee on American Education which are given over the radio each Saturday at 1 p. m., were read on Feb. IB by Miss Cox and on the 25tb by Mra. O. W. Nellson. Other mem bers will read this month. Ski Race Pictures To Be Shown Here Moving pictures of the seventh an nual Crater Lake ski race and winter frollo held at Fort Klamath last Sun day, have been received here and will be exhibited locally In the near future The films, which were taken by H. D. Kem and B. R. Roberts for the Copco news-reel show some in teresting shots of the ski races and Jumps as well as the dog races and other events of the day. Moving pic tures of the first annual Grater Lake ski race, taken seven years ago, will also be shown in connection with the new films. College Women Meet Saturday Mrs. Oeorge B.
