Alexander Geo, Bennett will leave on the Shasta Monday evening for the southern city, he stated Saturday. Reverend Bennett is pastor of the First Meth odist church here. Arrives Today Mrs. E. O. Rease of Sacramento is expected at her home in Talent today, to visit her father, and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Carey. Accident Reported Reports were filed at the city police station yes terday on the accident involving the cars driven by H. R. Meusei of 220 North Holly street and W. S. Doty of 208 Hamilton. Fined $10 George C. Wright was fined $10 in city court Saturday morn lag for defective brakes. He was arrested Friday afternoon at the corner of Fifth and Central. The fine was suspended by Judge A. Astoria Postoffice Contract Awarded WASHINNGTON, Jan. 7. (JP) The treasury today awarded the con tract for construction of a new post office at Oregon City to the Dougan Hammond Construction Co. of Full land. The bid was $73,587 and the company was given 360 calendar days to complete the work. The dead were Robert Dlckerson, 16: Donald Lattrell, 10, and Sanj uel Jacobs, 10. The girl was Ruby Dlckerson, a sister of Robert. The three were unnble to climb on the Ice shelf to, which they had pushed the girl.
